Barrett is a 7th generation resident of the Dixon/Vacaville area and now lives in Vacaville with his family. Working as a realtor for the past 6 years has allowed him to help many local residents attain the American dream of home ownership and deal with the frustrations and struggles of the current financial market. For the past nine years he has served on the board of directors of the Children’s Network of Solano County. |

Shelly Stelzner – NorthBay Healthcare
Shelly is a life long learner who realized a passion for the profession of nursing at a very young age. She is not sure if the passion arose from media exposure or from observing ailing family members, however she identified early on the far reaching impacts helping others can have personally and on society as a whole. Working as a nurse for the past twenty three years and volunteering in her church’s food bank, fuels her interest to help people in need. She completed a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in the 1980’s and recently completed her Masters of Health Administration. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart of twenty-six years and has lived in Vacaville for the past eighteen years. She is blessed with three wonderful boys, two of which are in college. The youngest attends Vacaville High School. |

Melanie Lopez – Recology Vacaville Solano
Melanie Lopez has worked for Recology for a total of 23 years starting as junior at Vacaville High School and during college. In 1997, she began working for their corporate I.T. Department in San Francisco, recently returning to Recology Vacaville Solano as the Office Manger. Melanie has lived in Vacaville since she was 10 years old and is currently enjoying being a newlywed with her husband Scott.

Bob Denton – Vacaville Police Department
Bob began his career with the Vacaville Police Department in 1986. He has served as a Patrol Office, Field Training Officer, SWAT team member, and Detective prior to being promoted to Sergeant in 1995. As a Sergeant he has supervised Patrol, the Street Enforcement Team, Family Investigative Response Service Team (FIRST), Office of Professional Standards, SWAT, and the Investigative Services Section. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2009 and he currently serves as a Field Operations Commander. His division includes Patrol, Traffic, SWAT, and Youth Services. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from California State University Sacramento and a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University. He lives in Vacaville with his wife and three teenage daughters. He has been involved in youth sports as a coach and Board of Directors member for volleyball, basketball, and softball for the past nine years. |

Nolan Sullivan – Yolo County
Nolan has lived in Vacaville for the past 25 years. He is a recent first time homebuyer and new father. He works for Yolo County as a Human Resource and Fiscal Supervisor. He has several years of experience in the public sector and really enjoys working in the personnel field. He graduated in May of 2010 from the University of San Francisco with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. He is also a Notary Public in the State of California. He loves his local community and is looking forward to finding ways to become more active and enhance his community. |

Nanci Ladd – Gateway Realty
Nanci is a Solano County native and has been a resident of Vacaville since 1965. She grew up in a civic minded family with a strong devotion to Vacaville. She has seen many exciting changes and improvements over the years. She has been a full time real estate agent since 2003 and proudly works for Gateway Realty. She is am member of the Northern Solano County Board of Realtors and was recently elected to serve on the 2011 Board of Directors. For the past 10 years Nanci has also facilitated recovery programs for sexually abused women. She and her husband Jon have a blended family of 5 children and 10 grandchildren…..and counting! |

Laura Petty – Petty and Warshawsky, Attorneys at Law
Laura is lucky to share in the parenting of two children and the running of a law office with her husband and law partner. She provides legal services to poor people who find themselves in times of crisis. This gives her the opportunity to get to know a population which she would not have otherwise understood. Doing this work has reinforced for Laura the need to be involved in working to make the community a better home for all citizens. Her family law firm allows her to show her children through her direct personal example that everyone has a responsibility to help friends and neighbors in need. |

Teri has been a resident of Vacaville for 30 years. She has worked in Solano County in the banking industry for over 30 years. She is also an Ambassador for the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce. |

Melyssa Laughlin – Vacaville Conference & Visitor’s Bureau
Melyssa has been the Executive Director for the Vacaville Conference & Visitors Bureau for the past three years. Since her arrival she has worked closely with the City of Vacaville, Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Business Improvement District and other community organizations to market Vacaville as a destination for visitors. |
