Membership Agreement & Privacy Policy

Thank you for wanting to join the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce! We care about protecting your privacy and making sure that we have a strong partnership right from the start. So here are a few things to note now that you’re becoming part of our professional network.

 

Membership Agreement

  • Membership with the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce (“Chamber”) commences on the date of acceptance by the Chamber for an initial term of one year and will automatically renew for successive one-year terms unless terminated by either party.
  • The individual or entity signing this Agreement (“Member”) agrees to pay annual membership dues as determined by the Chamber.
  • Annual payment plans require a credit card to be placed on file for automatic payments and are required to be paid in full if Member elects to cancel membership mid-term.
  • Membership dues are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • In consideration of membership dues paid, Member shall be entitled to the rights and privileges of Chamber membership as listed on the Chamber’s website or as otherwise expressed by the Chamber.
  • Member agrees to:
    - Comply with the Chamber's bylaws, policies, and procedures;
    - Act in a professional manner and promote the goals and objectives of the Chamber;
    - Provide accurate and up-to-date information for inclusion in Chamber directories and promotional materials;
    - Pay membership dues in a timely manner.
  • The Chamber reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for any reason, including but not limited to:
    - Failure to pay membership dues;
    - Violation of this Agreement or Chamber policies;
    - Conduct detrimental to the Chamber or its members.
  • Termination shall not relieve Member of any obligation to pay membership dues for the current term.
  • The Chamber reserves the right to amend or modify this Agreement at any time. 

 

Privacy Policy

  • The Chamber may collect personal and/or business information from Members, including but not limited to name, address, email address, phone number, and payment information. This information is collected directly from Members when they apply for membership or update their membership profile.
  • Information collected by the Chamber may be used for the following purposes:
    - Administering membership and processing membership dues;
    - Providing Member services, benefits, and resources;
    - Communicating with Members about Chamber events, programs, and initiatives;
    - Improving the quality of Chamber services and programs.
  • The Chamber may disclose information to third-party service providers, contractors, or partners who assist with Chamber operations or provide services on behalf of the Chamber. The Chamber may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Chamber, its Members, or others.
  • The Chamber employs reasonable security measures to protect the information of its Members from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and the Chamber cannot guarantee the absolute security of information.
  • By submitting your information, you consent to it being included in our directory, which may be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. We will not sell your information. All other categories, including text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, may also be included in our directory and shared with third parties.
  • By becoming a Member of the Chamber, Members consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their information as described in this Privacy Policy. Members may withdraw their consent at any time by contacting the Chamber.
  • By becoming a Chamber member, your information will be included in our public business directory, which is accessible to third parties. This directory serves as a resource for individuals and businesses seeking to connect with services listed therein.
  • We use your contact information to send you SMS and MMS messages, including updates, notifications, and promotional content related to our services. By submitting your information, you consent to receiving these messages. You can opt out at any time by replying "STOP" to any message you receive from us.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We share your information only as necessary for the operation of our business directory and messaging services. This includes sharing with third-party service providers who assist us in delivering these services.
  • We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. 

    Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Know what personal data is being collected about you.
  • Request the deletion of your personal data.
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal data (though we do not sell your data).
